Here is a simple method to prepare your favorite ribeye steaks.  It takes just a few minutes and all you need is a cast-iron skillet, an oven and you’re ready to go!

1 Ribeye Steak
Canola Oil
Sea Salt & Fresh Ground Pepper

• Place your cast-iron skillet (10 – 12 inches) in the oven and heat to 500 degrees F. Take the steak out of your refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature.

• When the oven is at 500 degrees F, take out the skillet and place it on your range over high heat for 5 minutes. Lightly glaze the steak with oil and add salt and pepper to both sides.

• Place the steak in the center of the hot, dry skillet. Cook 30 seconds without moving – well you can move, but don’t move the steak. Flip the steak with tongs and cook for another 30 seconds. Next, put the pan and steak into the oven and cook for 2 minutes. Turn the steak again and cook for another 2 minutes. (This time is for medium-rare steak. If you would like medium, add a minute to both sides.)

• Remove the steak from the skillet, cover it loosely with aluminum foil and allow it to sit for about 2 minutes. Serve whole or slice thin and enjoy!
