Here are some simple recipe ideas to get your juices flowing!
Standing Rib Roast
1 (6-8 lb) Standing Rib Roast
½ to 1 tsp black pepper
Roast must be at room temperature before cooking. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Rub roast with pepper. Do not add salt until ready to serve. Place roast on a rack in an oven roasting pan, rib side down. Roast for 1 hour. Turn oven off but DO NOT OPEN OVEN! Allow roast to remain in oven for a minimum of 3 hours and maximum of 5 hours. After 3 – 5 hours, turn oven to 375 degrees and roast an additional 30 to 45 minutes. DO NOT OPEN OVEN UNTIL ALL BAKING HAS BEEN COMPLETED. Remove roast and allow to stand for 15 minutes before slicing.
Filet Mignon Roast
1 c. wine (dry)
1 can Aujur gravy
Garlic salt Onions, chopped fine
Preheat oven to 550 degrees. Put meat in roasting pan with lid. Pour wine over meat. Cut up potatoes and arrange around meat. Sprinkle meat and potatoes with garlic salt and onion. Cover with lid and put in preheated oven. Bake 20 minutes and turn oven off. Do not open door for 2 hours. After 2 hours, take meat and potatoes out and pour in gravy and stir.
