You are invited to our
Annual Celebrate the Day Event
August 13, 2016
11am – 3pm
We invite you to our annual “Celebrate the Day” event. It’s Food Matters Market 4th Anniversary at the Brevard location and the store will be humming with many fun and tasty activities.
“This is a day when our focus is on giving back to the community,” said Sam Lee, general manager of the Brevard location. “It’s our way of saying thank you to loyal customers and hopefully meeting new ones.”
Sample your way through the store. Fresh, local, organic produce as well as prepared meats, fish and dairy products, crackers, cheese, hummus, ice cream and goats milk gelato, numerous desserts, coffee and so much more. Over 25 local, national and international vendors will be on hand providing free samples, product demonstrations, and giveaways as well as beers, wines, health & beauty items and nutritional supplements. Talk directly to the people who know why the foods at Food Matters Market are different.
Outside, enjoy live music and grilled burgers and brats. Meet local farmers and food producers; purchase a raffle ticket for gift baskets, a portable grill and a “Fixie” bike from Runa Tea for $2, with all proceeds going to our button charities.
Food Matters Market provides a button to customers bringing in their own shopping bags, eliminating the need for another paper or plastic bag. Buttons are placed in a jar for a participating charity. Buttons represent a five-cent donation from the store, and quickly add up during the year
Upstairs is the store’s Annual Health Fair, a fun and informative day, moderated by Dr. Glenn Ingram, of Through the Woods Natural Health. The Fair will feature five local, well-known speakers on current issues such as inflammation, Eastern medicine and acupuncture, dental health and mercury fillings, new diets and new products from Gaia Herbs. Plus the popular “Ask the Doc” booth returns, with free advice on nutrition, exercise and supplements. Free blood pressure checks and free chair massages plus product give-aways are also on tap.
Food Matters Market & Café, now with three locations, provides fresh local produce, meats, dairy and eggs, in addition to natural, organic, non-GMO, and gluten free foods to customers wanting a healthier lifestyle. The store is the customers’ link to a Farm to Table diet, working with area farmers and local food producers. The Cafe deli offers healthy, nitrate-free, lunch options, along with grab ‘n’ go foods, soups, sandwiches, wraps, salads and desserts. All adhering to the store’s Healthy Food Pledge. Food Matter Market continues to offer only products that meet its healthy ingredient standards.
